Paternity/maternity testing (duet). informative test.

A genetic test to establish or exclude paternity or motherhood.

Synonyms:

  • DNA Paternity/Maternity test
  • Kinship Test
  • Genetic analysis for paternity/motherhood

The test is based on a comparison of participants (presumed relatives) by standard DNA loci (sites). The principle of the test is based on inheritance: the child inherits 50% of the genetic material from the father and 50% from the mother, i.e. each locus must have material from both the father and the mother. Therefore, the greatest reliability of the test can be achieved by comparing the profiles of the alleged father, child, and mother of the child. In such a case, sections inherited from the mother are excluded from the child's DNA profile, and the profiles are compared between sections of the child's DNA inherited from the father and sections of the DNA of the alleged father.

As part of this test, the "duo" examines samples from the child and the intended parent (two participants). If it is necessary to check two or more children, you need to use the service "Additional Participant In The Paternity/Motherhood Analysis. Informative Test."

The accuracy of the results is 99.9% when confirming biological kinship and 100% when excluding kinship.

Sampling material is a scrape from the inner surface of the cheek. It is an absolutely safe and painless procedure.

The test is available in two forms:

  • DNA information test for paternity/motherhood
  • A molecular genetic examination for the court

An informative DNA paternity/maternity test is a test performed without photo and video fixation, performed to resolve intra-family issues and, as a rule, has no legal force in court. Whether or not to take into account the test results is the right of the judge considering the case.

Establishing kinship in disputed cases:

  • Establishing a biological relationship between a child and a parent
  • Contestation of paternity/motherhood
  • Recovery of alimony
  • Division of property
  • Other issues

A genetic test indicates whether a particular man is the biological father of a child or a particular woman is the biological mother of a child. As a result, the index of kinship and the probability of kinship are indicated. With a positive result (establishing kinship), the reliability is 99.9%. With the exception of kinship – 100%.
