Protein is the basis of life in the body. Proteins perform a huge number of functions:

  • Building (are part of the cell wall); 
  • Transport (transfer of substances with the blood stream to the organs); 
  • Maintenance of oncotic pressure (so that the liquid part of the blood does not leak through the walls of blood vessels); 
  • Blood clotting (to stop bleeding); 
  • Nutritional (if the body lacks nutrients, it uses proteins as "fuel"); 
  • Maintaining the body's acid-base balance; Regulatory (proteins - hormones, enzymes and biologically active substances);
