An immunogram is the  blood test to assessing immune system performance. This test combines several indicators describing the immune system performance. Common main parameters of the human immune defense are determined as follows:

·        number and functional capacity of leukocytes (white blood cells), the rate of them;

·        cellular immunity - total number of T and B-lymphocytes and populations of them;

·        humoral immunity - A, M, G, E immunoglobulins level (antibodies);

·        determination of complement system indicators (C3 and C4 complement components).

Immunogram heps to assess the immune system as a whole, and it is assigned as a key test during  immunodeficiency diagnosis.

Immunodeficiency is a failure of the immune system. The main signs of immunodeficiency are tendency to severe course of infectious diseases.

Venous blood is the test material. It is not advised to give blood for testing during menstruation, acute infectious and inflammatory diseases.

 PREPARATION FOR  IMMUNOGRAM BLOOD TEST:

Ø      give blood at 7 to 10 o’clock  in the morning;

Ø      come to the laboratory  fasting - 8-12 hours fasting interval;

Ø      avoid alcohol 24 hours before the test;

Ø      avoid smoking 2-3 hours before test;

Ø      completely avoid taking any drugs a few days before test, notify the doctor, if it is not possible;

Ø      avoid physical activities and stress in the day of testing.
