"Humoral component of immune system" Profile

An immunogram is a blood test aimed at assessing the immune system. This test is a combination of several indicators that characterise immune function. It usually determines the main parameters of a person's immune defence:

  • The number and functional capacity of white blood cells and their percentages;
  • Cellular immunity - the total number of T and B-lymphocytes and their populations;
  • Humoral immunity - level of immunoglobulins (antibodies) of classes A, M, G, E;
  • Determination of complement system indicators (C3 and C4 components of complement).

The immunogram assesses the immune system as a whole and is prescribed as a key test in the diagnosis of immunodeficiency.

Immunodeficiency is a deficiency of the immune system. The main manifestations of immunodeficiency are a tendency to have a severe course of infectious diseases.

The test material is venous blood. It is not recommended to take the sample during menstruation, acute infectious and inflammatory diseases.
